It is here and it is looking real good. Google priority inbox is a new feature of Gmail that you are probably going to love. It is a great way to get rid of the low priority emails and keep in touch with your inbox.
It comes out 8/312/10 and it is going to be great for those of us who get a lot of emails and need a simple way to stay organized. Gmail will have a built in feature that will automatically prioritize your inbox and keep you sane in the process.
There is almost no setup and really not much for you to do to get it running like a champ. You will have to check it every once in a while to make sure it is working to your liking though. Your important messages will automatically appear at the top of your inbox. Pretty neat huh?
How Gmail Priority Inbox Works
If you have a Facebook account, you get to see how Facebook measures who you interact with the most and who you are the “best” friends with. That is kind of what gmail priority will work. It will measure what emails you open the most and respond to, who they are from, and what they are about. Simple as that. It should do a pretty good job at it too. The more you use it, the smarter it gets in prioritizing your inbox.
Will this change the way you read your email? Well, if you want to emphasize a certain type of email from a certain person or subject, you better read them. Of course, this should come naturally. If you have any feedback, let us know.
